A CLI to read and edit Empyrion Blueprints

It's early days and I've not covered any new ground other than parsing the block type index and starting to identify block IDs.

The big goal is to identify what the muddle of values are between the head and foot. They must contain the locations of blocks and other properties too, but it's not obvious how that data is stored.

There's also a way of transfering your ships/bases from survival to creative and then doing right alt+O on them to create blueprint, but it requires some more file copying. A 'Blueprint' is a snapshot of a fully constructed vessel or structure that allows the player to spawn it on demand. Blueprints can be exported and shared through the community forums, or imported and saved into your Blueprint Library. Blueprints may be created in both Survival and Creative.

You can help identify block ids by adding them in the game, overwriting the blueprint and hitting enter in the CLI to reload the blueprint. The new block will be listed as 'Unknown' and you can update the blocktypes.json and send a pull request.

Testing notes

Useful console commands for creative mode are godmode 1 and itemmenu 1. You have to type these in whenever you change location in-game. The itemmenu can be viewed by pressing h. Don't use the itemmenu inside a cockpit or passenger seat.

Blueprints are found in /SteamApps/common/Empyrion - Galactic Survival/Saves/Blueprints.

In-game, after creating any vessel or base, aim roughly towards the core and hold altGr + o to save a new blueprint. Modify the craft and do this again to Overwrite the blueprint. You can then analyse differences in version to potentially identify new bytes.

My god, be sure to backup all your precious blueprints before tinkering with them.

Some HEX editors lock the blueprint file, so when overwriting in-game, Empyrion may create an entire new blueprint with _1 postfixed if the blueprint is locked and/or delete the previous blueprint entirely.
